Customer satisfaction: Dedication’s what you need

Great customer service takes effort and dedication. So it is with pride that we can point to the many wonderful testimonies from satisfied Quooker customers regarding not only our product, but also our aftersales service.

A retired couple from West Yorkshire took the time to write to us to say how happy they are with their Quooker. “I am writing to express our immense satisfaction with the PRO3-VAQ Modern which we installed just over 12 months ago. It was a big decision to buy a Quooker as we are a retired couple with limited resources.  Here we are, 12 months on, and massive fans of your kitchen device.” They continued, “It has been so easy to use, completely fault free and has become the most loved accessory in our kitchen.”

Dedication is at the heart of Quooker: 40 years of dedicated research and development have gone into this, the original, and still unique, only genuine 100°C dedicated boiling water tap.  We are delighted to hear from satisfied customers, time and time again, how their Quooker tap has become their favourite kitchen appliance.

But it isn’t just the product; the Quooker team are dedicated too, to excellent service.  And not only are they dedicated to being the best, they are dedicated to the Quooker product.  Other engineers go from dishwasher to oven, from waste disposal unit to tap. Our team are exclusive to Quooker taps, so their knowledge is precise and extensive. They are genuine experts in their field and have developed a reputation for going beyond the call of duty, whilstbeing prompt, polite and using clear language. One couple wrote; “The man from Quooker arrived at about 5pm and was here until around 7:30pm. He was amazing. He mended the faults, serviced the whole system, changed the filter, changed something in the tap head, tested the water and explained everything to us in great detail. All this – and he did it all for free. Unbelievable!! … They were so helpful.”

We also have a dedicated UK call team who are employed by Quooker, exclusively for Quooker customers. They have extensive, specialist knowledge of the product range so that they can actually address any issues that our customers might have. One of our customers was so happy that he wrote to Which? Magazine, extolling the great service that he received even after his guarantee had expired.  He wrote; “whilst the product comes with a two year guarantee, (which had ended) on contacting Quooker Head Office we explained the problem and they agreed to dispatch a replacement straight away. This was done without query or quibble and the damaged device was returned for examination… Well done to the company.”

These are not isolated experiences; they’re typical, thanks to our dedication to getting it right.  We believe in great service and we are dedicated to both our product and our customers.

They don’t often get the recognition they truly deserve, so we would like to say a huge thank you to all of our business development team, our call team and engineers, for their consistently high levels of service and their dedication to the best boiling water tap on the market.

Enjoy your Quooker, secure in the knowledge that we’re here for you.

Safer than a kettle

One of the things that a lot of people ask us is whether it’s really safe to have a tap which dispenses 100ºC boiling water in a kitchen.  So they’re pleasantly surprised to discover that it’s actually much safer having a Quooker tap in the kitchen than a kettle.

According to The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), around 7,000 people visit A&E Departments every year due to kettle-related accidents.

RoSPA recommends placing the kettle towards the back of the worktop where it will be out of reach for a small child.  The Quooker tap is installed at the back of the worktop over the sink and cannot be pulled towards the front of the worktop.

A kettle, once boiled, contains an average of between 1.1 and 1.7 litres of boiling water.  If this is tipped over a person, particularly a young child, it can do serious, extensive and sometimes, sadly, permanent harm.

The Quooker tap dispenses boiling water in a steady flow in a spray format.  The aerated form allows you to pass a hand through the flow without scalding yourself.  Naturally, you wouldn’t want to keep your hand in the flow of boiling water, but you wouldn’t – you’d snatch your hand away as soon as you felt the heat.  What makes a huge and critical difference is that by comparison you may get a few drops of boiling water on your skin or clothing – you won’t be soaked by over a litre of it.

Even so, we don’t think you should take any risks with boiling water, which is why we added the additional feature of a push and turn mechanism to turn the tap on in order to dispense the water.  We also made sure that our tap can be raised and lowered to suit the vessel you’re filling.  You can also rotate the tap with ease so that you can fill a pan placed firmly on the worktop next to the sink, rather than holding it at any awkward angles over the sink.

When we launched our Nordic series, we took the opportunity to build in even more safety features. There’s an LED light to remind you that the boiling mode is in operation, and on the Quooker Fusion the boiling mode is operated by a crenelated ring with a double push and turn mechanism to make sure you can’t turn on the flow of boiling water accidentally.  Quooker’s patented twin walled construction of the spout also ensures that it stays cool to the touch even when dispensing boiling water.

We love being able to use boiling water on demand in the kitchen – it helps with cooking, cleaning and getting hot drinks in busy offices or homes.  BUT – we never forget that safety is important.

After more than 25 years, over 350,000 Quookers and many millions of hours of their combined use, no-one has ever told us that they’ve had an accident related to a Quooker.

That’s a really brilliant reason to buy a Quooker.

Quooker’s 100°C kicks the kettle out of the kitchen

If you want to make your kitchen as time, energy and water efficient as possible, you will probably have spent some time researching boiling water taps.

Hopefully you will have realised that they are by no means all the same.

For a start, if the water from your boiling water tap isn’t actually boiling, you’ll be wasting your money.   To replace a kettle – which ideally you want to do in order to free up worktop space, save time and make your kitchen safer – the tap you choose must dispense boiling water at a full 100°C. Otherwise it just won’t replace the kettle.

That all important 100°C ensures that a Quooker is the perfect helper for so many kitchen tasks; from preparing hot drinks and speeding up cooking; to sterilizing baby bottles; aiding household tasks; and filling flasks for refreshment on the go.

From deciding you would like a cup of tea to actually having it in the cup takes about 10 seconds with a Quooker, versus three minutes (if you don’t get distracted and have to repeat the process) with a kettle.

There are a lot of good reasons to make sure you choose a Quooker – and only a Quooker.

The technology that is used in Quooker products is patented and is only used in the Quooker range. Because the Quooker tank stores water under pressure at 110°C, it is always available for immediate use at a genuine 100°C. It’s pointless to purchase a tap that can’t do this, which is why we believe that only a Quooker is good enough.

Every tap in our range delivers 100°C – even the Quooker Fusion which also delivers hot and cold water too.  We never compromise on 100°C because that’s what allows you to ditch the kettle and take advantage of the Quooker’s other features:

  • No wasting water – a Quooker allows you to use only what you need.
  • No wasting energy – a Quooker delivers boiling water for less and costs just 3 pence a day on standby.
  • No wasting time – all you need to do with a Quooker is turn on the tap.
  • No wasted space – the Quooker banishes the kettle and frees up space on your worktop.
  • No accidents – thanks to its design, its 360° rotation, twin-walled cool spout and aerated delivery, the Quooker is actually much safer than a kettle.

In short, only a Quooker will do, because only a Quooker offers so much – especially 100°C.
