Quooker workplace economics 3 - Hydration

Hydration makes work go swimmingly

Almost all of the recent research into workplace productivity has come to the same conclusion; hydration is a key factor that increases and preserves productivity in a workforce. A hydrated workforce is not only a happy workforce, it is effective too.

A Quooker boiling water tap in the workplace is of huge benefit to employer and employee alike when it comes to both hydration and productivity. It encourages regular hydration by being quick and convenient.

Hydration is great for the brain, allowing it to stay oxygenated which acts to improve brain function. It takes as little as a 1% loss of body water to significantly reduce concentration in the human brain. A Quooker tap helps a workplace team to remain hydrated without disruption to work or concentration. It delivers genuinely 100°C water on demand, taking only a few seconds to make a cuppa, as opposed to 3 minutes or more with a traditional kettle.  Your team should take a statutory break mid-morning, lunchtime and mid-afternoon, but letting them have a cuppa more often than that really is wise thinking.

Water enables our bloodstream to deliver nutrients and oxygen to our entire body, keeping us awake and focused on the tasks at hand. A Quooker uses a storage tank that holds up to 11 litres of water at a constant 110°C, so that when water is delivered it is not only genuinely boiling, but plentiful for as many cups as are required. This means that staff can help themselves to as much liquid refreshment as they want, without wasting time – which is money.

Good digestion is so important to health and a person who is hydrated is more able to digest food and absorb nutrients than a person who is dehydrated.  A Quooker tap will deliver boiling water all day, every day, whenever it is needed. It is great for helping to prepare quick meals (such as noodles, soup and pasta) and for aiding hydration which allows people to digest their food, stay comfortable and avoid drowsiness.

A Quooker in the workplace helps to keep your team hydrated, whilst minimizing the time cost that is involved in regular preparation of refreshments. Hydrated people are happier – and that makes them far more productive.
