Have yourself a very Quooker Christmas!

Getting together with family and friends at Christmas is part of the joy of the season. Part of the art of getting it right is balancing the seemingly effortless and calm production of food and refreshment from the kitchen with a great deal of hard work behind the scenes. With the help of your Quooker, the kitchen can become less of festive prison and more a cave of culinary wonders.

As the festive season approaches, life is so much easier if you can get ahead with preparations; and that’s where your Quooker can help. Ice cubes for drinks will be perfectly clear when made with boiled water from your Quooker. Flower displays can last longer – or be revived – too.
You can get ahead with food preparation by blanching vegetables for freezing, so that they can be used on the day; and icing biscuits and cakes and making desserts like jelly for kids of all ages, are all easier with carefully measured quantities of instantly available boiling water.

You may be fully occupied in the kitchen, but guests will still need refreshments and, with the help of your Quooker, drinks can be prepared instantly so that you can stay focused on cooking. Whether guests want a nice cuppa a hot chocolate, or a cocktail with a bit more of a kick, the Quooker will be a real helpA Quooker will save so much time and effort on so many tasks, dispensing 100ÂșC boiling water on demand. Gammon is a Christmas favourite, cooked in boiling water; and for speedy gravy, instant boiling water is a huge help.  Whether you serve up potatoes, pasta or rice, your Quooker will give you as much 100°C boiling water as you need, just when you need it.

Christmas without brussel sprouts in the UK is unthinkable and your Quooker can help with all sorts of other vegetables too. As for Christmas pudding, is there anything more delicious than a proper, steamed plum pudding?

After everyone has left and the noise is a ringing memory, everything must be cleaned up before you can truly relax. The boiling water from your Quooker can help to clean whisks and beaters, as well as pots and pans and knives.

It can even help to clean up wine stains!

And of course, there really couldn’t be a better Christmas present than a Quooker!!

From all of us at Quooker, have a fantastic Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

The day our dealers cooked with John Torode

Last week, a delighted selection of Quooker dealers from across the UK, Northern Ireland and Eire were treated to an exclusive masterclass with celebrity chef JohnTorode at the Good Housekeeping Institute Cookery School in London’s Soho. We chose the location as we know that the Good Housekeeping Institute has Quooker TwinTaps on its work benches to help all its students, so we knew they would be invaluable!

The invited dealers were shown how to prepare a range of recipes which included John’s hot bacon and gruyere breakfast bread, roast chicken made to his grandmother’s delicious recipe and an ingeniously simple and delicious chocolate ice-cream amoretti dessert.

Everyone was particularly pleased when John demonstrated recipes that could be replicated at home for friends and families, using supermarket ingredients, while imparting invaluable expertise to help revolutionise their cooking.

As our MD, Stephen Johnson, pointed out, our dealers are vital to our business and a key route to market for the entire Quooker range, particularly our Nordic range, which includes the Fusion and Twin Taps, which are exclusive to our showroom dealers.

We greatly value the strong partnerships that we have been able to develop with our dealers.  This was a really fun day and our way of saying thank you.  We only wish we could have squeezed everyone in!
