Reasons to buy a Quooker 4 – how often you’ll use it

More than anything else

Until you own one, it’s almost impossible to imagine how great an impact having a Quooker tap can make.  This is because it delivers genuine 100°C boiling water so it can completely replace the kettle.

The one thing that people – and by that we mean Quooker owners, kitchen designers, retailers and our own engineers – all report, is that within a couple of weeks of owning a Quooker it has become the most frequently used appliance in the kitchen.

When you think about it, it’s absolutely logical.  On average, people in the UK drink between 4 and 6 hot drinks every day.  So even if all the Quooker ever did was help you to make hot drinks, you would use it four to six times every day.  That’s if you live alone.  In a busy family, where everyone likes to get their own drinks, or if friends drop by unannounced, that’s quite a few more hot drinks – and uses of the Quooker – every day.

But of course, that isn’t all you’ll use it for.  Most people cook.

Serious cooks find the Quooker absolutely invaluable – which is why you see it on a regular basis on the TV, at every work station on MasterChef and the Great British Bake Off and on the set of Saturday Kitchen too.  It was also behind the scenes at The Taste, and it's in another series currently in production – we can’t tell you about that yet, but the Quooker was the first choice for this new show too.

Ironically, reluctant cooks find the Quooker even more helpful, as it removes a lot of the effort involved in cooking  – providing a pan of boiling water for some hurriedly cooked pasta, rice or vegetables, or rustling up snacks such as instant soups and noodles.

Everyone also has to clean and wash up.

Two or three meals a day means several more uses for boiling water, cleaning knives, whisks, pans and utensils in moments.  And if you install a Quooker COMBI system, which mixes boiling water from the Quooker with cold feed to provide hot water from the domestic cold feed only, you’ll also enjoy an inexhaustible supply of hot water for washing plates, cups, glassware and cutlery too.  It’ll even provide water for hand washing delicate items.

If you’re a large family, you may use your washing machine every day, you may even iron several times a week.  You probably use the cooker twice and the dishwasher once a day.

Pretty quickly, you’ll agree that you use your Quooker more often than any other appliance in your kitchen.  Bar none.

Logically, therefore, if you don’t yet have one, you’d better make sure that when you do buy a boiling water tap, it can do all this – in fact, we’d say it had better be a Quooker.
